Terms of Service

1. Introduction
These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lindi platform, including the website at lindi.ai and the associated web application (“the Service”). The Service is operated by Lindi Technologies Limited, registered in England and Wales, with its registered address at 6 Larke Close, BN43 6ED, Shoreham-by-Sea, United Kingdom.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Account registration
To use Lindi, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and complete information when signing up
- Keep your account secure — you are responsible for all activity under your account
We use WhatsApp-based authentication. By signing up, you consent to receiving messages from Lindi via WhatsApp for the purpose of authentication and service delivery.
3. The service
Lindi is a WhatsApp-based admin assistant for tradespeople. The Service helps you manage:
- Quoting and invoicing
- Payment tracking and chasing
- Job scheduling
- Customer communication and management
The Service integrates with WhatsApp to sync your business conversations and with Stripe to process payments on your behalf.
4. User responsibilities
When using Lindi, you agree to:
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection laws
- Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Not attempt to access another user's account or data
- Be responsible for the data you input about your customers (see section 5)
- Not interfere with or disrupt the Service
5. Customer data
When you input data about your customers (names, phone numbers, addresses, job details) into Lindi, you are the data controller for that data under UK GDPR, and Lindi acts as a data processor on your behalf.
This means you are responsible for:
- Having a lawful basis to collect and process your customers' personal data
- Informing your customers about how their data is used
- Responding to data subject requests from your customers
We will process your customers' data only as necessary to provide the Service and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Payments & billing
Lindi offers subscription-based pricing. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. All fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
7. Intellectual property
The Lindi platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Lindi Technologies Limited. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.
You own your data. All business data, customer data, conversations, invoices, and quotes you create through Lindi remain your property. We claim no ownership over your content.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use Lindi to:
- Send spam or unsolicited messages via WhatsApp
- Engage in or facilitate illegal activity
- Harass, threaten, or abuse others
- Distribute malware or harmful content
- Violate WhatsApp's Terms of Service or Business Policy
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this acceptable use policy.
9. Service availability
We aim to keep Lindi available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned maintenance in advance. We are not liable for any loss arising from service unavailability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law under English law:
- Lindi Technologies Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We do not exclude or limit liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law
11. Termination
You may stop using Lindi and delete your account at any time. We may also terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms.
Upon account deletion, we will retain your data for 90 days (to allow recovery if the deletion was accidental), after which it will be permanently deleted. Invoicing records may be retained for up to 6 years as required by UK tax law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will give you reasonable notice via email or through the Lindi platform before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
